Gamescom and LEDs

This Wednesday and Thursday, the brick team immersed the world of gamers and cosplayers at gamescom. At Wednesday the atmosphere was still a little bit quiet because the faire was not open for public yet – whereas Thursday was unbelievably intense. We made our way through the crowds and queues ( some people were waiting for more than four hours to play a new game… ). Always with a brick set put under our arms of course 🙂 How could it be any different: we could´t control our nerd hearts at such a geek like atmosphere, that´s why we came home with some new games and a “Game of Thrones” t-shirt. Furthermore, there was was a new area this year called “family & friends”. At least once we started a brick circuit battle for five minutes, we suddenly happened to have three more teammates at the age of five to eight years who started playing along with us. The other booths were forgotten for a few minutes and we were all engrossed in the world of electronics. Another important topic was the LED sector, once again we noticed the importance of that theme at the colorful and bright gamescom. That´s why we decided to publish a “7 Color Light Set” within the next two to three weeks. The set will contain 28 bricks with seven different colors in total. My own bedside table is already equipped with a self plugged together lamp that I modify nearly every day. ( Just because it´s fun to change one´s furniture every now and then… ). Our set series will grow even more within the next months by two other sets, more on that soon. The only thing that I can reveal: it will bring even more light into the dark and the maker community will be pleased…
